How do I find out if the library owns a DVD, CD, streaming video or other media item I need?

Answer

From the library homepage, select:

  • The Library catalog. Search by title and select the format from the drop down menu "item type," e.g. Audio(CDs) or Videos (DVDs or streaming).
  • ScholarSearch. In Advanced Search, search by title then select "source type" filter on the left side of the webpage and select the desired format, e.g. Audio or Video.
  • Streaming content. Go to the content provider to browse titles. A list of streaming providers may be found in the A-Z Databases page.
  • For additional information about using different content providers, consult the Media at the Drew Library research guide.

Streaming content can be clicked on and accessed immediately from your search result. Physical media such as DVDs, CDs, and videos all have a number (e.g. DVD NO. 3915) which you will need to know in order to locate the item.
