How can I get a book or an article that Drew Library doesn't have?

Answer

To obtain an item Drew Library does not have in the collection, Drew students, faculty and staff may request the item through interlibrary loan (ILL).

You may do that in several ways:

  • by entering the resource information manually into the ILL form. Click the ILL Link below to begin – you will be prompted to enter your Drew username and password before proceeding. Select the tab for the appropriate item you wish to request (book, journal article, book chapter) and go from there.
  • or by selecting the “request interlibrary loan” link by the desired item in any of Drew’s databases.

No matter the path to the ILL form, check to make sure information about the item is entered into each space marked with an asterisk (*) and then click submit.  It may take up to 3 weeks to obtain print books and 3-5 business days for electronic articles or book chapters, however the average turnaround time is typically 2-4 business days for electronic items and 7-10 business days for print items.
